Low Gillerthwaite Field Centre
Set in the heart of beautiful Ennerdale, England's remotest, quietest and least inhabited valley, Low Gillerthwaite rests at the feet of Pillar, Steeple and Red Pike. This remote centre sleeps up to 40 guests, and is entirely self sufficient, even generating its own electricity. If you really want to experience the peace and tranquillity that the Lake District can offer, there really is no better base for a wide range of outdoor activities.
Low GillerthwaiteAccommodation in Eskdale
Fisherground Lodges offer self catering accommodation in the heart of the beautiful Eskdale valley.
The three lodges all sleep 6 and share a peaceful spot in an acre of ancient orchard with a stream that opens out into a raft pool. Fantastic views of the surrounding fells. All three Lodges face South, the orchard is a natural suntrap.
Fisherground is an ideal base for exploring the awesome mountains, rivers and lakes in the area and is the starting point for hundreds of walks, either on the fells or along the banks of the River Esk, with tumbling waterfalls and magnificent clear pools to swim in.
Each lodge has Sitting room with Freesat HDTV, DVD, WiFi Broadband and a wood burning stove that keeps the place toasty and warm whatever the weather.
