Ghyll Scrambling in Church Beck

Although Stonycroft was probably the original Ghyll, Church Beck in Coniston has fast become the second most popular location - and for good reason! Starting off as a gentle trip UP against the water, it soon steepens and several sections of rock climbing later, we arrive at the first of the jumps. For those who are feeling particularly adventerous, we can ventue into the upper 'coffin' section, where large jumps and a heart stopping slide into thin air (landing in the water again at some point we promise!) will finish your trip off with a blast!

NEW for 2016! Although we have always provided free photos of your activity as standard, we now offer the option of hiring our GoPro equipped helmet for only £15. We will then send you a CD of the footage for you to enjoy at your leisure. Please say at the time of booking if you want this extra service.

Impossible to describe and impossible to forget! Ghyll scrambling is always one of the favourites and involves ASCENDING a Lake District mountain stream under the safe guidance of our experienced instructors. The trip will include slides, climbs and even jumps and is guaranteed to have you buzzing with adrenaline by the finish. Your instructor will guide you along the ghyll ensuring your safety and maximising your enjoyment of a truly unique experience!

As standard Mobile Adventure provides all our clients with high quality, well fitting wetsuits, as well as spray jackets and helmets. This means you can enjoy this amazing activity safe in the knowledge that you are wearing the best gear possible.
